Brown-Fenton sheds light on eating disorders

Amid a great deal of fanfare, Speaker Day occurred Wed. Mar. 6, 2013. Lisa Brown-Fenton presented the story of her struggle with an eating disorder—what she refers to as “Ed”—to a small group of about 10 SPA students. Clean of any symptoms for eight years, Brown-Fenton openly told the story of her battle with her disorder and how she overcame such a severe and life-threatening obstacle. This St. Paul Academy and Summit School graduate encouraged anyone with a problem to seek help, and anyone who knew of someone else with a problem to take action immediately. Brown-Felton raised awareness on the issue and shed light on the very dangerous and very real problem that is an eating disorder.
