[ARTS BRIEF] One acts to stream, US Theater welcomes musical submissions

This year’s US One Acts will livestream on Mar. 19 at 7 p.m. This year’s shows are The Sandbox, directed by Eric Severson; DMV Tyrant, directed by Maren Ostrem and Evelyn Lillemoe; Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, directed by Gavin Kimmel; Second Best written by Anja Trierweiler and directed by Adeline DeHarpporte and Anja Trierweiler; Prometheus, the God(father), directed by Miranda Bance and Michael Moran; and Stew, written and directed by Adrienne Gaylord.

The Upper School spring musical will take a new direction, given the restrictions around singing in person and live performances. Instead of a specific show, students will perform a mix of large company numbers, solos, duets and small ensemble numbers which explore and celebrate the tropes of musical theater. Auditions will be submitted via video. Student videos are due Mar. 15, by 8 a.m. The show is set to livestream in late May or early June.
