[TV Review] CW’s superhero monopoly makes for enjoyable hours

The CW television network has been on the rise with their increase of superhero television shows. Arrow was the first to appear in 2012, The Flash followed in 2014, and Legends of Tomorrow aired in 2016; Supergirl moved from CBS to The CW in 2016. The CW’s superhero monopoly range from light-hearted comedies to dark thrillers that leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

There are many differences between renditions of the characters and their original comic counterparts on CW. However, the shows make for interesting television. If jumping into the current season does not satisfy viewer background knowledge, all past seasons of all four shows are available on Netflix for multiple binge-watching sessions. Additionally, the past five episodes of the current season are always available on the CW’s website and app. The shows crossover and have characters that crossover a few times which bodes well for fans of multiple shows. Watching all four shows is not in any way a necessity, but makes for an enjoyable hour of television.
