The Vans Warped Tour is returning to Shakopee this summer on July 24 with another exciting list of bands. While the punk rock tour is mainly meant to help up and coming bands spread their fan base, there are quite a few big names performing this year. Sleeping With Sirens, The Word Alive, Mayday Parade, and Falling in Reverse are just a few of the many bands that are sure to have big crowds at the festival. Fans are also excited that some older bands are making an appearance, such as Yellowcard, Sum 41, 3OH!3 and more.

It’s supposed to be a really assorted group of artists; I even heard Waka Flocka Flame is going!

This music festival does a great job of trying to make every concert-goer’s experience the best it can be. The Vans Warped Tour website has every piece of information needed for the festival. There is information on tickets, band signings, things to bring, and tips on how to make the most of your Warped Tour experience.  Another useful tool is the Vans Warped Tour app, which has just as much information as well as a count down to the festival.

While this music scene diverts from the mainstream, there are still many students at St. Paul Academy and Summit School who regularly attend the festival or listen to the bands performing.

“I’m really excited to see Sleeping With Sirens again this year at Warped. I’ve also never heard Emarosa in person so that should be cool. It’s supposed to be a really assorted group of artists, I even heard Waka Flocka Flame is going!” said junior Hana Martinez.

Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
