1) Attention computer users: Yes, you need to run updates on school computers. Keeping your computer current is an essential step towards protecting yourself from malware infections. If your computer is installing updates when you begin to shut it down, do not force quit or move the machine. Interrupted updates may cause malfunction. Updates which launch when you boot your computer, such as Java and Adobe (Acrobat/Flash/Shockwave), are generally safe to run, but make sure you deselect any additional applications or toolbars the updates want to install. If you’re in a time-crunch, updates for plug-ins can be postponed, but you will likely need them eventually. Updates which pop up while you’re on a website may be malware in disguise, so quit the application and seek assistance. If you’re not sure whether or not an update is necessary or accidentally install a toolbar or app while running updates, see your tech coordinator for assistance.

2) Attention Athletes, A health and common sense issue. Please respect our school and all who use this building. Remove your cleats and any athletic footwear before entering the building. The mud/dirt on your footwear may contain animal waste that could cause a health issue and it creates a mess in our hallways. Remove your athletic footwear before you enter the courtyard and clean the dirt off your shoes. Changing into your athletic shoes on the field is a great idea. Thanks for your cooperation, The Athletics Department

3) 9th graders and 12th graders: Today is the Student Group Activity Fair at 9:45. We’ll begin with a 9 th grade class meeting in the gym at 9:45. Seniors – please bring any materials for your student group to the small gym by 9:50. Make certain that your student group is represented at the fair!

4) SENIORS: Don’t forget that Senior Pages are due Monday, September 17th. Please drop them off outside of Dean Cummins’s office.

5) HAMBURG EXCHANGE HOSTS: we will have brief meetings during your D-Tag class time 4 th and 6th periods. Check your calendars so that we can finalize the plans for the Canoe trip, the Twins Game and car pooling. 9 days to Sept. 19!
