6. Apologies to the Dance Team for the oversight in the Winter Recognition Assembly. Here was the planned presentation: The dance team was a small but very committed and dedicated group of dancers. Under a new coach Jamie Woods the team performed very well in all their competitions. The Spartan dance team took second place at the Lakeville South Invitational as well as the Mounds View competition – performing a kick routine themed after “Phantom of the Opera.” It was a great accomplishment for such a small team against many much larger teams. The dance team was comprised of senior Claire Samuelson, juniors Cynthia Zheng and Jessica Wen, and freshman Laura Slade and Calla Saunders. At the conference competition the Spartans captured 3rd place. Cynthia Zheng was named All-conference honorable mention. Congratulations on a great season.
