US Announcements: Hamburg Exchange hosts meeting during D-Day class times 4th and 6th

Lunch: Seasoned Beef Tacos with Hard or Soft Shell, Refried Beans, Nacho Bar, Chips and Salsa, Cheese Quesodillas, Steamed Rice

1.HAMBURG EXCHANGE HOSTS: we will have brief meetings during your D-Tag class time 4 th and 6th periods. Check your calendars so that we can finalize the plans for the Canoe trip, the Twins Game and car pooling. 9 days to Sept. 19!

2. Ninth graders: Today is your very first ever D-day, which means you have officially arrived in the upper school. During your language class period today, you are “free.” This means you are free to meet with your language teacher if necessary, you could meet with another teacher that is also free, or you can find a quiet place to work productively. Some suggestions for work spaces: the gym foyer, the second floor of the Summit Center, and the library. You may not be in the upper north hallway near your lockers since science and math classes are meeting all day during all class periods. Use your D-day time responsibly. Show us that you are ready for this special privilege in the upper school.

3. The legacy of Tricky Dick lives on…sometime late last week the Nixon bumper sticker on the US history classroom door went missing. It’s an original from 1972 and we want it back.

4. Elizabeth Berg (SPA class of 2007 and 2011 graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music) will be on campus today (Tuesday) and will be available after school in room 323 to talk to students interested in learning more about studying music and theater in college as well as what it has been like beginning a professional career in musical theater. Elizabeth is currently touring the United States as a member of the acting company of “Mary Poppins.” If you are interested in speaking with her or just listening, please come to room 323 today from 3 – 3:30/3:45pm. Any questions, please see Mr. Severson.
