US Announcements: College Seminar for Seniors today in the Library Classroom

Lunch: Chicken Sandwiches with Baked Beans, Tilapia with Seafood Newburg Sauce, Indian Curry with Cauliflower and Peas over Basmati Rice

1) The Bike Classic is this Sunday, September 9th and volunteers are needed! A group of 2 or 3 friends will be assigned to each intersection along the Mississippi river blvd. to help the bikers in the race. It is a lot of fun and it is good for the community. Please talk to Peter Wood if you are interested in volunteering and who you would like to volunteer with.

2) Attention computer users: Yes, you need to run updates on school computers. Keeping your computer current is an essential step towards protecting yourself from malware infections. If your computer is installing updates when you begin to shut it down, do not force quit or move the machine. Interrupted updates may cause malfunction. Updates which launch when you boot your computer, such as Java and Adobe (Acrobat/Flash/Shockwave), are generally safe to run, but make sure you deselect any additional applications or toolbars the updates want to install. If you’re in a time-crunch, updates for plug-ins can be postponed, but you will likely need them eventually. Updates which pop up while you’re on a website may be malware in disguise, so quit the application and seek assistance. If you’re not sure whether or not an update is necessary or accidentally install a toolbar or app while running updates, see your tech coordinator for assistance.

3) SENIORS – College Seminar meets this Friday in the Library Classroom. To support this, you DO have an English d-day this Friday. We try to assign most seniors to free periods, but some are assigned during d-days. Check posted
