After 17 years of friendly smiles and administrative work that helps the entire student body, Upper School Assistant Annie Harness has retired on Jan. 13. On her last day, a reception was held in the Summit Center to commemorate her years of service. Former College Counseling Assistant Aja Parham has taken up the position of Upper School Assistant after training with Harness before the transition.

“I’ve learned so much in just the past week and a half. It’s been an amazing experience working with [Harness],” Parham said.

During the reception Harness was gifted a student-made painting that had previously hung in her office. Students and teachers alike gathered to say thanks to Harness for everything she has done for the community. During her remarks Harness explained what she would miss about St. Paul Academy and Summit School.

“This school is really special. Keep it that way,” Harness said.
