Johnny Tvedt, also known as The Magnus Man plays a number of roles during the day, including tracking down students who did not fill out their COVID-19 reporting app prior to coming to school. “The Magnus list has really been the only consistent thing for me at the school, I was basically bred for this job by Dean Thornberry in between my other jobs here,” Tvedt said.

On Nov. 23, the MN Department of Health released a COVID-19 contact tracing app called COVIDawareMN. The technology was available in several other states before it was released for Minnesota.
Snow days were every kid’s dream. Now, with online learning and the new programs used for distance learning, schools no longer have an incentive to close down schools in the event of extreme weather. Everyone looks forward to a day to miss school or work and enjoy the day for themselves.
