Students pioneer new (or revitalize old) clubs

While many clubs have existed in the SPA community for years, some students seek to pioneer new clubs or revive forgotten ones.
Gender and sexuality acceptance and celebration isnt a new phenomenon at SPA. Actions towards more inclusion in recent years reflect an  increase in feeling comfortable with gender identity.

New Diversity and Inclusion policy reflects SPA identities

The new Diversity and Inclusion policy on the SPA website and student handbook serves to include all forms of identity in the community.
The helping hands of trained teachers will welcome people who feel different and separate into a comfortable space of acceptance.

Teacher training adds weight to Gender Sexuality Alliance program

SPA teachers should be trained to function as allies to students struggling with gender identity and acceptance.
Freshmen Tess Hick, Lauren Datta, Hunter von Tersch Pohrer, and John Gisselquist presented to the freshmen class on May 11.  The speakers were somewhat personal and talked somewhat about their own experiences as well as explaining different genders and sexualities.
