Fitness tests in gym class are pointless, they create unnecessary stress and make the class less enjoyable overall.

The goal of the race is to promote healthy active lifestyles; to broadcast that physical education is educating students on how to live a healthy lifestyle and to have fitness as a fun, inclusive community event, Anderson said.

SPA will be hosting a 5K Run/Walk on May 14 at 9 am. Waivers are available outside Ms. Anderson's office in the athletic hallway.
