ECLIPSE. A solar eclipse is a rare event in which the moon is between Earth and the Sun, blocking the view of the sun. In other parts of the United States, the view of the Sun will be totally blocked, constituting whats called a total eclipse. A total eclipse is a completely different event that is another level of coolness. So if they [the students] have that chance, they should absolutely take the chance to see a total eclipse if they ever can. The next one in Minnesota will be the year 2099, Astronomy and Planetary Science teacher Joseph Martin said.

Athletic department strives to raise school spirit, improve programs

The athletic department has set their sights on changing the sports culture and programs through internal shifts within the department and looking outward to best support the student body’s engagement with sports.

Rick Johns will serve as Interim US Athletic Director and a search is ongoing for a new assistant.
Director of Athletics Dawn Wickstrum and Upper School Athletic Director Andrea Schmidt worked on new policies for the athletic department. As part of new developments in the athletic department, a screen was added in the athletic hallway. “We got a TV screen [in the athletic hallway] and all announcement stuff will go there, and all of that information will also be online, Wickstrum said.
