On Jan. 27, speakers Anthony Galloway and Rose McGee shared their stories and ideas with the students for the annual MLK assembly.
Senior Arie Walker signed to solidify her commitment to play volleyball for North Carolina A&T State University on Thursday. I was a little nervous, not gonna lie but being next to my parents helped me a lot. I wasnt too worried about the number of people because I knew they were all there to support me, Walker said.

On April 17, Common Ground members spoke about their experiences of racism within and outside of SPA to educate the community. “Say who you want to be not who others tell you to be,” the group said. On April 24, Common Ground will be handing out ribbons to promote intersectionality and to echo the messages of their presentation.
