Laura Slade, a sophomore at St. Paul Academy, is the Arts & Entertainment editor of The Rubicon. As of September 4, 2013 she has seen 58 bands live. In addition to going to concerts, Laura likes to hang out with friends, dance and take pictures. Since her older sister left for college she has spent an unhealthy amount of time chasing her puppy, Bruno, around their house.

Upper School history teacher John Finch will retire after 34 years at St. Paul Academy and Summit School. “I don’t have any immediate plans to travel, but what I’d like to do is combine my interest of travelling with some community service in other countries,” Finch said.

After 34 years of teaching Finch plans to see more of the world

Although Dean of Students Judy Cummins said that the new dress code policy is designed to address “How we present ourselves to go to school,” many girls believe that students will challenge the policy.  “The rule should have been enforced before now if people are going to take it seriously,” junior Mattie Daub said.
