The Rubicon

Lucy Sandeen
Lucy Sandeen is The Rubicon’s opinions editor for the 2017-2018 school year. While the junior has only been a part of The Rubicon since the second half of her sophomore year, she’s thrilled to be a part of the Rubicon community. Lucy enjoys staying up too late, reading, watching the movies Heathers and Stand by Me, pointlessly organizing, making lists, and color coding, and drinking a warm cup of tea from the TeaSource. While not in school, she works at the Grandview Theater in Saint Paul. She’s passionate about social issues and is one of the co-presidents of Students for Social Justice. As opinions editor, Lucy aspires to give students different perspectives on issues pertinent to the SPA community and nation as a whole, and to ensure that all points of view are represented. Lucy can be reached at
