Senior Kenzie Giese is currently entering her senior season of lacrosse after finishing off a remarkable year as the goalie for the United hockey team that went to state. I asked her a few questions about her upcoming senior season in lacrosse.

1. What are your pre-game rituals?
A: “For home games, we set up our hammocks during the first half of the JV game and just chat about our days and about the game.”
2. What kind of player are you on the field?
A: “I am an aggressive player on the field. I play low defense so I tend to be the person guarding low in the 8 meter.”
3. Where does your competitiveness come from?
A: “Lax is similar to hockey for me so I think I channel my hockey experiences to the lax field.”
4. Is there any significance to the number you wear?
A: “There is no major significance to my number.”
5. What is your favorite thing about playing lacrosse?
A: “My favorite thing about playing lacrosse is being able to build bonds with my teammates from other schools on the team.”
6. What’s your favorite pre-game song?
A: “Body by Loud Luxury.”
7. What’s your favorite pregame meal?
A: “Either a turkey tom from Jimmy Johns or buttered noodles and parm chicken from Noodles and Company.”
8. Who do you model your game off of?
A: “I don’t have anyone in particular I model my game off of; I just try to be as competitive as possible and play the best I can on the field.”
9. How long have you played lacrosse?
A: “I have been playing lacrosse for seven years.”
10. What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
A: “My favorite memory is last season when we had a major comeback and almost beat Cretin in a crazy game. We lost 12-11, but the game was exciting and we prove that we could compete with top tier teams.”
