Potential schedule changes stir student body

On the first day of school, Head of School Bryn Roberts briefly mentioned a new schedule possibility in his speech. The scheduling task forces, made up of groups of faculty members, has been hard at work since last summer trying to work out a new schedule to be put in place for 2013-2014 school year. There is a task force for the Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School. According to Upper School Principal Chris Hughes, “[The task forces] are working together but also within each division.” The school is also working with a national consultant out of a group called the Independent School Management “We’re looking at what are the most important needs in our school, looking at what some other schools are doing, and looking at the different possibilities,” Hughes said. The school hopes to have a schedule proposal ready for the school by early winter.
