[PODCAST] Quinn Williams reminisces on his time playing music

Mason Brooks: All right, here we go. All right. My name is Mason Brooks. This is Quinn Williams.

Quinn Williams: Hello. Alright, let’s get started.

Mason: What instruments do you play?

Quinn: I play guitar, violin, and I sometimes play the piano.

Mason: Which one’s your favorite?

Quinn: My favorite one is guitar because I’ve been playing it for the longest. And because it’s very fun to play.

Mason: Why is it fun to play?

Quinn: It’s fun to play because there are many things you can do with the guitar. And there are many different types of guitar. All right,

Mason: What’s your favorite moment from playing instruments?

Quinn: My favorite moment was during the eighth-grade orchestra concert in the winter, we played Top Gun and the orchestra teacher told me to play guitar or do a guitar solo for it. And so I did it. And it was really fun to play.

Mason: Was there anything special about the song or was it just that you had a solo?

Quinn: Well, it’s mostly a guitar song. Like the original song was guitar. Yeah. And so missing hurt thought it was a good idea to like have a guitar thing in there. So she asked me to do it.

Mason: And usually play violin during orchestra, right?

Quinn: Yeah, I usually play the violin it was really cool to play another instrument that I knew.

Mason: Okay. What’s your most embarrassing moment? While playing?

Quinn: Um, my most embarrassing moment would probably have to be during a concert. I think it was like two years ago. I dropped all the papers when I was switching songs. And then everyone was like, trying really hard not to laugh. And I just had to pretend like everything was fine, even though they’re all waiting for me.

Mason: Wow. What was your favorite piece to play?

Quinn: My favorite piece of play was probably “Lord of the Dance” that we played this year the Pops Concert because it was a very challenging, but a really fun song to play. We all like in the middle of a song. We all like stood up and started playing which was really cool. I really liked it a lot.

Mason: Thank you for talking with me. This has been Mason Brooks and Quinn Williams.

Quinn: Signing off.

Mason: Signing off. All right. Thank you very much. Bye bye.
