PHOTO GALLERY: Ultimate team debut game showcases potential

In their first game of the season, the St. Paul Academy and Summit School ultimate team proved their potential and training worthwhile. Played on home field at SPA’s Goodrich Campus on April 13, both teams seemed prepared to play their hardest while warming up. Against Red Wing, it was clear fairly early once the game actually started that SPA brought their fullest amount of energy. With consecutive scores and nearly perfect execution, this game sets the standard high for future ultimate games. The final score was 15-4. Their next game will take place April 18 in Woodbury at 6:00 p.m.

Many athletes run different distances, but starting early and practicing a diverse set of running styles sets the athletes up for success in any event. “If you start your good habits early you are less likely to be injured due to poor form,” captain Bridget Keel said.
