Peter/Wendy earns starred performance at state
The cast and crew of Peter/Wendy earned a starred performance at the MSHSL State One-Act Festival on Feb. 9. For the second year in a row they earned the highest ranking of “starred performance” from the judges. It marked SPA’s sixth state performance (1994, 2006, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2018) and their fifth starred performance (1994, 2006, 2013, 2017, 2018).
US Theater director Eric Severson wrote in an announcement to faculty, “Throughout this process they have challenged themselves as performers and technicians truly exploring the possibilities and power of nuance, sophistication and creativity in what they each individually and collectively bring to the production.”
The judges stated: “This is a total sensory treat,” and added that, “All the stylistic elements are beautifully executed. Acting is genuine. Creativity is off the charts.”
