The lunchroom will seem a little more empty next fall.

After 29 years working in the lunchroom at Saint Paul Academy and Summit School, Peggy Holzem is retiring. Students and faculty expressed their sadness over her departure by signing a poster board dedicated to her, which hung in the cafeteria Monday.

“It was hanging up when I can in [Monday] morning, it made me want to cry,” Holzem said. Holzem has decided to retire in order to pursue new hobbies, and take some time to relax and spend time with family.

“I’ve got a grandchild on the way,” Holzem said.

Holzem is one of the many faculty and staff members departing this year.
