Feed My Starving Children, a classic volunteering location, is the site of the work of Junior Weston Lombard. “It’s always an amazing feeling seeing the total number of meals provided to the people in need and knowing that you were part of making a difference,” Lombard said.  The mission statement of the organization is: Feeding God’s Starving Children Hungry in Body and Spirit.

Although FMSC is a Christian organization, it is open to everyone and anyone who wants to and is willing to help. Jobs at the site consist of either packing meals, restocking the packing stations, or more inventory type work. Everyone under the age of 18 must have an adult with them during their period of volunteering.

Lombard recommends Feed My Starving Children to anyone looking for an accessible volunteering experience. “It’s an easy way to make a difference while having fun doing it,” Lombard. Feed My Starving Children has locations all around the metro area, and can be found online at www.fmsc.org.
