For the Spartan Girls Varsity Soccer, music is an outlet for the team to get pumped up and enjoy each other’s company.
“Music means a lot to our team. We play the song The Climb at the end of every practice. It’s sort of symbolic, as we need to keep climbing as a team and keep playing hard. It gives us some consistency, because we play it a lot and the team loves it,” winger Muriel Lang said.
The team enjoys listening to throwback songs from the early 2010’s including All I Do is Win by Dj Khaled: “All I Do is Win really describes our team well because we are [currently] 10-1. As a team, our goal is to win state, and we haven’t won conference since 2010, So, this song shows that we can do it,” Lang said.
