From left to right, sophomore Lexi Hilton, eighth grader Greta Sirek, senior Sela Patterson, eighth grader Dina Moradian, senior Katrina Hilton, eighth grader Val Hart, junior Ellen McCarthy, junior Mary Naas, and freshman Neeti Kulkarni attend a meet at Battle Creek. “I think we’ll still be strong this year,” Lexi Hilton said.

The Girls Nordic Ski team has the challenge this year of rebuilding after they lost a large amount of senior skiers. “We lost some seniors, so [the team] might not be as strong as last year,” sophomore skier Lexi Hilton said, “but we still have some strong underclassmen.” Hilton believes that the team will have a harder season because of its younger members, but she is still confident in the team’s ability to pull through. “I think we’ll still be strong this year,” Hilton said. “I think we’ll go to state again, so that’s a plus.”

The team has a meet at Como Park Golf Course on Jan. 15 and Conference Championships at Elm Creek on Jan. 28. A roster can be found here and a full schedule here.
