Girls basketball takes win against Mounds Park

February 12, 2019

On Feb. 8, the Girls’ Basketball Team had a game against Mounds Park Academy (MPA), and won by a considerable amount: 68-43. It was a great sign of improvement for them, as they had just won their last game against MPA by two points (55-53).

The girls have shown notable progress individually and collectively since the start of the season. “I think this game we really worked together as a team and figured out our roles on the team. When we all exceed in our major positions, we were able to put off a great offense and defense,” sophomore Rashmi Raveendran said.

Sophomore Manager Aman Rahman agrees with Raveendran. As Rahman is a manager, she has been able to see the players improve from every game this season, “The girls put up a hard fight and that paid off well for them since they won the game.”

Their next game is at home on Feb. 16 against Minneapolis Washburn. It is the Girls’ Basketball Youth Night.
