I saw these water bottle pencil cases as I was scrolling through Pinterest and thought they were perfect. Recycling plastic waste into an everyday use item while saving money: What’s not to like? I bought three zippers which meant I had three tries to get this right. My first try was an absolute disaster. As I was gluing the zipper to the bottle, I melted the bottle with the hot glue gun, which not only smelled awful, but ruined the pencil case. In the second round I never dried the bottles, so the glue wouldn’t stick. The last round was my best. The pencil case fully zipped, and didn’t look like a mess either. Overall, this is a great craft to do, but to get the hang of it. I recommend buying a few extra zippers and water bottles just in case.
