DIY book covers offer back-to-school flair
A new school year means new school supplies for most students. Rather than spend money on a cloth book cover, upgrade a grocery or lunch bag into a unique and expressive cover for any textbook. Click on the gallery below for step-by-step instructions for this DIY project.
Step 1. Assemble materials: a paper bag (a grocery bag is an ideal size), scissors, packing tape, the textbook to be covered, and any desired decorating supplies.
To avoid damage to the textbooks, never put the tape directly on the cover; only tape paper to paper.
For creative covers, consider using glitter pens, stickers, colorful tape or permanent markers.
