WINTER BLUES. Sophomore Nijah Johnson experiences periods of sadness throughout the winter season. Although this can be a symptom of seasonal depression, it is advised to get medically diagnosed before making assumptions. “Winter is dark, and so it tends to change the whole mood up,” Johnson said.

RUBICON. The Rubicon was created in 1974.  “The Rubicon is the river that Julius Caesar crossed, and it’s supposed to symbolize the point of no return and a different kind of enlightenment and venturing into the unknown,” Director of Publications Kathryn Campbell said. Currently, The Rubicon is on volume 49, meaning next year will be its 50th anniversary.

Nikolaus is the Santa that provides gifts to good children, while Krampus is the Christmas Devil who punishes naughty children and kidnaps them on Christmas night.
