The 9th grade class watched the Classical Actors Ensemble perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Feb. 14.

Due to the large amounts of snow that came in on March 5, school was canceled that day and there was a 2-hour late start on March 6. Because of this, many 9th graders were unable to prepare for the annual Shakespeare fest that was to take place on March 7. Although March 7 is a normally scheduled day, many Upper School students are planning to participate in a statewide walk-out to protest gun violence. Because many students will not attend school on March 7, Midsummerfest was ultimately canceled by the US English department. “I’m really disappointed that all my hard work went to waste,” said freshman Levi Mellin.

Instead of performing in front of the entire 9th grade class, groups will perform to the members of their individual classes.
